Purchasing Engineer
Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Purchasing of all materials required for the Operations of Cummins Filtration China, to ensure optimum levels of materials are available for production.
2. To supply Operations with quality materials at the lowest cost commensurate with specifications standards,
3. Lead process to identify new materials and processes that offer competitive advantages
4. Review purchase and investigate source of supply, from both local and overseas suppliers and develop alternative suppliers.
5. Develop effective sourcing strategy and put in place the formal systems, disciplines and controls needed to underpin future growth
6. Improve supply through "win-win" partnerships
7. To control and reduce overall levels of raw material inventories
8. Conduct major contract negotiations, with regards to materials for Operations on behalf of Cummins Filtration China
9. Raise and expedite all factory purchase orders, and approve for payment invoices for orders received of acceptable quality
Requirements
1. Integrity/diligent/Flexible and Proactive
2. Bachelor degree, majoring in engineering/logistic/economic/trading, etc.
3. Min 2 years working knowledge & experience in purchasing or related.
4. Good at learning software skill & sharing information & data analysis.
5. Basic knowledge of international trading incoterms.
6. Good English capability in writing and verbal communication.
7. Good interpersonal skills, basic leadership skill and presentation skills.
8. Willing to travel / participate conference call meeting at night.
9. Good team player to motivate people. Self-motivated and super result-orientated.
